It started with a simple X through the day on the calendar. A bit of smeared paint leftover from my paint tray, and perhaps some leftover gold leaf. Over the past five years my calendar pages have become expressions of the weather and temperature. My moods, specials days of the year and records of the visitors I host here in the Old Andrews Schoolhouse; my monthly life experiences. I have discovered that work on the calendar pages helps to jump-start my day. I simply grab some paint and a brush and smear it on the day's date, and as the day progresses, I add to it, change it and massage it. By month's end, a new painted record is complete! I happily share these original pages with you!
